To determine the feasibility of the experiment, as well as to calculate the experimental time needed to reach the deliverables, we have established a pilot experiment that lasts 2 days max. During this time, we assess the complexity of the biological sample (cell, tissues, organs…) and sample preparation, data scattering, number of conditions and parameters to be measured etc. The pilot experiment is charged independently of whether the researcher decides or not to proceed with the full experiment. Depending on the outcome of the pilot experiment, projects will be classified in standard or complex projects. For projects where the complexity of the experimental sample makes measurements very complicated or the number of experimental groups and conditions is large enough to take longer than 15 working days or a substantial contribution should be done in developing the experimental model and designing the experiment, a fix agreement will be negotiated with the research group. At the end of the full experiment, the raw and analyzed data as well as a detailed methodological description is provided in a “publishable” way.
